INVESTIGATION UNIT BoU. The Investigation Unit BoU is one of five units within IFO and works on behalf of the target group aged 0-19 years. We work to investigate the needs for protection and support and to follow up on granted interventions. The unit consists of 8 social workers and a unit manager. Three of the social workers hold the title of senior social worker and work to introduce new employees, support colleagues, engage in development work, and handle the most challenging cases. The other units within IFO are: Reception and Adult Unit, Placement Unit, Open Care Unit, and the Economic Assistance Unit.

We have a colleague going on parental leave for a year and are therefore looking for a temporary social worker for the Investigation Unit.

There are many advantages to working in the Investigation Unit - both for experienced social workers and recent graduates. For those without prior experience in investigation work, there is an introductory plan that is reviewed together with a senior social worker. A senior social worker will handle the first cases together with you as a new employee and ensure that you receive an introduction that suits you. For those who are more experienced, there are good opportunities to structure your work independently, and we are constantly working to find opportunities and challenges for those with more experience.

In the Investigation Unit, we have the opportunity to work through cases at a calm pace and have time to reflect. All colleagues care for each other and provide support when needed. We almost exclusively work in pairs and see the unit as a team.

In Ekerö municipality, we have, compared to other municipalities, a relatively low influx of cases, which allows time for both reflection and development. We are constantly seeking new ways to reach our citizens and develop together with them. We have a well-organized economy, which provides greater opportunities for good solutions for clients. Our office is centrally located in Ekerö, just 15 minutes by bus from Brommaplan or 5 minutes from Jungfrusund (Ekeröleden ferry). For those traveling from Stockholm city, commuter boat 89 departs from Klara Mälarstrand via Lilla Essingen and Ekensberg.

We work with BBIC, MI, and Signs of Safety. We offer you training in the methods we use and actively work with supervision.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should:

• have a degree in social work
• have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing
• be analytical, structured, have good administrative skills, and a sense of order.
• Have courage, energy, commitment, and a desire to make a difference for children and youth.

A driver's license is not a requirement but is desirable since the municipality largely consists of rural areas and public transport is not well developed.
